About Litters 'n Critters
Litters 'n Critters Animal Rescue is a registered society and a not for profit association that was formed in April 2007 and is dedicated solely to the well being of all animals, big and small. We try our best to help as many animals as we can whether they be mix breeds or purebreds.We love them all and want nothing but the best for all animals. We place the welfare of the pets that come into our rescue first and formost.
We are an independent, self governed animal rescue organization, that has a board of directors and many volunteers that are located in Halifax, Truro, New Glasgow and Cape Breton areas and we serve all parts of Nova Scotia. We do not have a shelter or a physical address as we rely solely on the fostering process. Litters 'n Critters is a 100% volunteer organization.We do not receive grants or government funding so our only means of raising money is through fundraising and private donations. All money raised goes directly to help animals, not one penny goes to people. We're in this to help animals and nothing else!
We work closly with some of the other animal welfare organizations in Nova Scotia as well as with groups in Newfoundland and Labrador. We advocate the adoption and rehabilitation of companion animals and we assist people re-home their privately owned pets. We help to inform the public on responsible pet ownership, breed bans, dog bite prevention and how to make an informed decision on choosing a family pet. We emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering your pet and we assist people in finding humane training methods.
There are many different approaches to rescue, but the universal thread that connects all rescuers is their love and passion for animals.Please help save a life by adopting a rescued animal.
